Description

2-(2-Butoxyethoxy)ethanol, also known as diethylene glycol monobutyl ether, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C8H18O3. It is a colorless liquid with a mild, pleasant odor and is part of the glycol ether family. This compound is widely used as a solvent in various industrial and commercial applications due to its excellent solvency properties and low volatility.

Application

Mainly  used  for  nitrocellulose,  synthetic  resin,  paint,  enamel  paint  remover, lipid  and  solvent,  the pharmaceutical  industry used  as  extraction  agent,  plastic industry used for resin, plasticizer, textile industry used as fiber lubricant,  chemical fiber oil dispersants, also can make cutting YouRongJi pesticides dispersant, dry cleaning solvent, and organic synthesis intermediates, mineral oil emulsification  of the auxiliary solvent, analytical reagent, etc. Other than its applications described  above, also can be in machinery industry as a diluent for hydraulic brake fluid, high  speed cutting oil components, etc.
